Leaving a legacy
A bequest is a simple and powerful way to ensure our work carries on for future generations.
A bequest is a personal gift you leave in your Will as a lasting legacy of your beliefs and values.
For many of us, it is the best way to make a contribution that truly reflects our appreciation and respect for an organization. All bequests to the Biosphere Institute are important, no matter how large or small.
Why Should I Leave a Legacy Gift?
· Create a meaningful legacy – Making a bequest to the Biosphere Institute ensures that the causes you care about will continue long into the future.
· Ensure Peace of Mind – by having an up-to-date Will you ensure loved ones understand your legacy wishes, and are taken care of the way you intend.
· Convenience – A bequest is easy to arrange
· Enjoy Tax Savings – A bequest offers tax benefits for your estate[N1]
How do I make a bequest to the Biosphere Institute?
Remember us in your Will with a:
General bequest: A general bequest can be a dollar amount or percentage of your estate.
Residuary bequest: You designate all or a portion of your estate’s residue (what is left after payment of taxes, debts, settlement costs have been satisfied)
Wills are personal matters and we recommend you speak with a lawyer to ensure you have a properly-drawn Will. Our official name is “Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley”. We are a federally registered charity, and our registration number is 88912 8625 RR0001
