We take the job of managing our finances very seriously. Our Treasurer, Bookkeeper, and Financial Controller help assure responsible management of our finances, and an external auditor annually reviews our books and creates Board-approved audited financial statements, as shown below.

2022 Highlights: WildSmart leveraged our new training platform to prepare our Wildlife Ambassadors for fieldwork and convinced the provincial government to re-start the Roundtable on Human-Wildlife Coexistence, an important valley-wide conversation involving elected leaders and wildlife specialists.

In the spring, we held a hugely successful Electric Vehicle Expo and co-hosted the first Eco Solar Home Tour to spotlight environmental practices in our community. In the fall, we convened over eighty participants in ‘Accelerating Climate Action in the Bow Valley,’ pursuing climate action through a multi-solving approach.

On the education front, we celebrate our increasingly deep level of engagement with our Îyethka Nakoda neighbours.
